Abstract

 This research aims to provide an analytical study on sports tourism based on approaches and trends.
 This is an applied research conducted using a scientometric approach. The statistical population consists of 663 records, with no specific sampling method employed, and all records were examined. Data were extracted from the advanced search section of the Web of Science citation database. Scientometric software such as VOSviewer, UCINET, BibExcel, and Excel were used for data analysis and map visualization.

 The findings revealed a total of 663 information records related to sports tourism indexed in the Web of Science citation database. Among the authors, T. Hinch ranked first with 13 publications and an h-index of 5. The United States ranked first among countries with 132 information records, and the year 2024 ranked first among years with 62 information records. Furthermore, Taylor & Francis is the leading publisher in this field, with 144 scientific records. The keyword "sports tourism," with a frequency of 227, is the most frequently used keyword. The pair "Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism - Management" has the highest co-occurrence with a frequency of 84. A total of 10 clusters were formed, with clusters 9 and 10 each containing 1 keyword.
